Found It!
I finally found my question in the weekly training/Q and A sessions. “What is he talking about?”, you may well ask. If you missed last week’s post, feel free to catch up with it here. Essentially, I had submitted a question for the weekly catch up sessions and lost track of it as I wasn’t able to be in on the live broadcast.
My First Offer
I found my question in Week 29 and Dean, as always, was amazing in his answer. He is so considerate and doesn’t fob you off with a quick response that means nothing. He actually cares about his audience and treats us like friends. My query about adding a monetized link/offer for his book, The Iceberg Effect, was answered and I have now successfully incorporated it into my blog. You can see it in the side bar if you’re seeing this on a laptop or PC, or if you’re on a mobile/cell phone, you can find it by scrolling down the page.
New Banner
I’ve also spruced up the banner inviting people to join my email list. Originally, I hastily threw together a home-made banner that I have always been disappointed with. This time, I used Canva to design one. I was aware of Canva but always thought I would have to spend too much time learning how to use it. To my surprise, it was relatively painless to create a reasonable looking banner. I like it and I hope you do too. Let me know in the comments.
How To Make Your Links Even Prettier
In my last blog post, I was talking about affiliate links and how to use a software package called Bitly to create shorter web link paths. Since then, and thanks to one of my fellow bloggers, I have been made aware of an alternative software called Pretty Links that can be added to your WordPress site via the plugin feature. This enables you to incorporate your website/blog name into the URL thus making it easier to read and remember.
An example might be – instead of https://somegreatlongurlincorporatingyouraffiliatelinkid/blogsite, the Pretty Links version would be https://yourwebsite.com/blogsite. It also offers tracking so you can see where your traffic is coming from.
We Live In Exciting Times
There are exciting things happening in the world of Internet Profits and Affiliate System. Dean has created a new platform using a Facebook app called Skool. It is a multi-functional tool that can be used for its members to communicate with each other thus building a great community spirit. A place to share our experiences in the affiliate marketing world and to get to know each other better.
Back To Skool – Much Needed I Think
A unique feature offers cool prizes for members for accumulating “likes” on the comments they receive on their posts from other members. They range from free access to confidence building videos to physical prizes, e.g. a wireless microphone for your mobile phone. The ultimate prize: to spend a day with Dean Holland at the Internet Profits HQ in the UK.
It also incorporates a new evolution of the Beginners Advantage training. This one puts more emphasis on building an affiliate marketing business that is not purely in the “make money online” niche. In fact, any niche you have ever wanted to get into or have a passion for.
All Caught Up
I am happy to report that I have finally now caught up with all the current weekly sessions (31 of them) in the original Beginners Advantage course. Also, I’ve been meaning to add the rest of my TikTok videos to my Facebook business account. Another one ticked off the to do list! The results so far are not terribly encouraging, only a handful of views. One strange thing I noticed with Facebook, when viewing on my laptop, it doesn’t show the number of views. However, when I look at Facebook on my phone, the number of views shows under each post. Go figure!
So, now I have no excuse about making more videos. It’s been nearly two months since posting the last one on TikTok. My follower numbers are still slowly increasing and I’m now up to 1,716. I’ve no idea why since I haven’t posted anything new lately. Must be my rugged good looks and magnetic personality! Ha ha!
New Goal
My goal for the coming month of August, apart from getting back into making more videos, is to get a Facebook Lead Ad up and running. Let’s see what happens.
Have A Great Week
I’d be delighted if you’d like to leave a comment or let me know if you have any questions or just leave me a “hello”. I hope you enjoyed reading this and it has been helpful. As always, it’s been a pleasure to see you in here.
If you’d like to subscribe to my free newsletter, there’s a new link in the side bar (or beneath this if you’re viewing on a mobile) or you can find a link here. (There’s a couple of gifts in it for you!)
Until next time.
Take care.
Andy
