Feeling Bad
I feel so bad; I have missed a week in my blog posts and I feel like I’ve let myself and my business down. But I’m back now and I must keep going. It’s OK to miss a week but anymore and I would feel that my heart’s not in it. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I still want to succeed in this venture and I know there are times when you think you’re not getting anywhere but then you remember your “why”.
Fear of The Dentist
My wife is back from her extended stay in Melbourne and unfortunately since then, she’s had a lot of visits to the dentist. Years of having issues with her health have had a detrimental effect on her teeth giving her a lot of pain and discomfort. Having had nasty experiences with a “butcher” dentist as a child has left her with a profound fear of having to visit one these days. So, I have been accompanying her for moral and physical support. One tooth extraction and sixteen fillings later, she is now over the worst.
No TikToks Or Lead Ad
There has been no time to keep up with the TikTok video productions and my goal of having a Facebook Lead Ad campaign up and running by the end of August has sadly not been met.
Founder Recordings and Skool
I have been keeping up with the weekly Founder Q and A recordings and have been following the new Beginner’s Advantage training in the Skool app. A lot of this was covered in the original course and the Certified Partners training I enrolled in as part of the Internet Profits Accelerator program. However, the emphasis is more geared to niches in anything not just the “make money online” niche.
Which Niche?
There are great lessons in how to choose a niche, researching whether or not that niche is a viable one to follow and a whole series on using TikTok as a means to promote your niche and gain followers. Personally, I’m happy to stay with the “make money online” niche so I’m using this training more as a refresher for the lessons I’ve learned before. Of course, there have been new things to learn and appreciate even though I’ll not be going down that particular path.
That’s it for now; a nice short post. I prefer writing about something I’ve done, albeit not much, rather than borrowing something from AI.
Have A Great Week
I’d be delighted if you’d like to leave a comment or let me know if you have any questions or just leave me a “hello”. I hope you enjoyed reading this and it has been helpful. As always, it’s been a pleasure to see you in here.
If you’d like to subscribe to my free newsletter, there’s a link in the side bar (or beneath this if you’re viewing on a mobile) or you can find a link here. (There’s a couple of gifts in it for you!)
Until next time.
Take care.
Andy
HI Andy – But it’s great to see you back on the blog if only missing for a week. I had total faith that you were taking a nice little break and sometimes that is what is needed whether intentional or not. Yes, choosing a niche is critical but it doesn’t have to be permanent. I guess the idea is to find one that fits you, your personality, your interest and just overall YOU! Then connect that to others like you with your interests. I wish much luck as you look at these options as I am doing the same thing as well. Have a great week, my friend!
Hi Andy, I appreciate your honesty and openness in this post. Life happens, and it’s completely normal to miss a week or face setbacks—what matters is that you’re back and ready to push forward. Remember, progress isn’t always linear, and sometimes taking a step back to deal with life’s challenges can lead to even greater clarity and motivation. Keep going, and don’t hesitate to share any new insights you pick up along the way. Best of luck with your TikTok and Lead Ad goals in the coming weeks!
I enjoyed your honesty. Dentist not always my favorite as well. Glad that you are back. A little skip never hurt anyone.
Andy, I hear your wife on her fear of the Dentist. I’m sure I helped send mine to an early retirement with all I had to fork out during my College-days when I could ill-afford those charges.
And I’m with you on sticking with the “make money online” niche. I will perhaps have little campaigns with links to health care related products.
There’s no point in feeling bad about a missed week. We all need some “me” time.
Step-by-step you’ll get to where you want to be!
Hi, Andy!
It’s normal to face setbacks in our businesses. If nothing else, it makes you more relatable! You’re not perfect, but neither are we. LOL! I’m so glad your wife got her teeth worked on, and you could be there. I’m afraid of the dentist as well. I like it when my husband keeps me company when I’m in the chair. I’m sure you were a great help to her! Best of luck to you in the coming week!

Don’t be too hard on yourself! Life happens, and it’s completely understandable that you missed a week with everything going on. It sounds like you’ve been supporting your wife through a really tough time, and that’s what matters most. The important thing is that you’re back and ready to keep pushing forward. Your determination is inspiring, and I’m sure you’ll get back on track with your goals in no time. Wishing you and your wife all the best, and looking forward to your future posts!
Hi Andy, I am so happy to see you back. I’ve also missed a week here and there, and it’s not the end of the world. You do what you can when you can. Just don’t stop. You will still be farther along than if you did nothing, and that’s all that matters. I feel for your wife as I, too, had a traumatic experience with a dentist when I was younger, and I am a basket case now when I even have to go in for a cleaning. I think I’ve dug holes in the chairs of every room at that office from gripping the arms so tight. She is not alone. Great job, buddy. I’m proud of you.
Your wife comes first! The trick here is NOT to “feel bad” but to see every challenge as an opportunity to deepen engagement of “what is.”
When I practiced bedside nursing, nothing was worse than feeling distracted (by computer charting, or a doctor’s bad mood), because I wasn’t giving my all to my patient’s needs.
Give it your all (awe) and keep on going!!
