Brand New Day

An Overview

Here’s what I found in my research: –

Creating engaging videos for social media is a powerful way to boost your affiliate marketing efforts. Let’s dive into what it’s all about for making effective affiliate marketing videos:

Why Affiliate Marketing on Social Media?

Affiliate marketing is all about promoting other companies’ products and earning a percentage of the revenue from your advertising efforts. Social media platforms offer a massive audience, making them an ideal space for affiliate marketers. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Research Your Affiliate Network Options:
    • When you’re first starting out, pick an affiliate network to connect you with top-quality products. Some popular networks include ShareASaleAmazon AssociatesCJ Affiliates, and Peerfly.
  1. Set Up Your Social Media Pages for Affiliate Marketing:
    • Each platform has unique features and possibilities. Customize your profiles accordingly:
      • TikTok: Perfect for younger audiences.
      • Instagram: Ideal for lifestyle content.
      • Pinterest: Great for women-centric niches.
      • Facebook: Still relevant for various demographics.
  1. Create Compelling Video Content:
    • Product Reviews: Share your unbiased opinion on affiliate products through video reviews.
    • Unboxing Videos: If there’s something to unbox, create engaging content around it.
    • Educational Videos: Teach your audience about the benefits of the products you’re promoting.
    • Behind-the-Scenes: Show the process of using or setting up the products.
  1. Optimize Your Videos:
    • Keywords: Use relevant keywords in your video titles, descriptions, and hashtags.
    • CTAs (Call to Action): Encourage viewers to click your affiliate links.
    • Engage with Comments: Respond to comments and build a community.
  1. Promote Your Videos:
    • Share your videos across your social media channels.
    • Collaborate with influencers or other affiliates for cross-promotion.
    • Leverage paid ads if your budget allows.

Remember These Key Points:

  • Authenticity: Be genuine in your recommendations.
  • Disclosure: Always disclose that you’re using affiliate links.
  • Consistency: Regularly post valuable content.

Why Are We Doing This?

Whilst the above is a very generic view of creating content, for us in the Affiliate System training, the whole purpose of what we’re doing is to try and drive traffic to our “owned asset”, AKA blog or website. From there we want our audience to join our email list and ultimately to partake in our offers.

Our blogs have value for those who are just behind us in the journey. But we cannot generate income if no one knows they exist. We must draw ATTENTION to what we have produced as a result of our hard work. And to do that, we must present ourselves to the right kind of audience just eager to swallow our content.

So, What Is A Good Structure For A Video?

Here’s a blueprint for structuring your videos:

  1. Introduction and Hook:
    • Hook the Viewer: Start with an attention-grabbing opening. Pose a question, share an intriguing fact, or create curiosity. This encourages viewers to keep watching.
    • Introduce the Topic: Briefly introduce what your video will cover. Set the context and let viewers know what to expect.
  2. The Build Up:
    • Identify the Issue: Present the problem, challenge, or pain point your video addresses. Why should viewers care? What problem are you solving?
    • Empathize: Show understanding and empathy. Relate to your audience’s experiences.
  3. Solution and Content:
    • Provide Value: Offer solutions, tips, or insights related to the problem. This is the core content of your video.
    • Break It Down: Use clear headings or transitions to guide viewers through the information.
    • Visuals: Use visuals (e.g., graphics or demonstrations) to enhance understanding.
  4. Call to Action (CTA):
    • CTA: End with a clear call to action. What do you want viewers to do next? Follow you, subscribe, visit your website, or leave a comment?
    • Engage: Encourage viewers to engage by asking questions or inviting them to share their thoughts.
  5. Outro:
    • Closing Remarks: Thank viewers for watching. Remind them of your channel or web site.
    • End Screen: Use end screens to promote other videos or encourage subscriptions.

Remember, consistency in your video structure helps build a loyal audience and building trust with your audience is crucial. Happy filming!

I hope this was useful and if so, please let me know in the comments.

Until next time,

Take care.

  2. Hi, Andy!
I like how you describe the audience for each social platform.

The bullet point list for structuring a video is also helpful.

Have you started doing video, yet? How do you make sure you hit each point? Do you write a script?

    Thanks,
    Nakina

    1. Hi Nakina,
I have a few on Tiktok so far but haven’t really followed my own advice to be fair. Yes, I have been writing scripts as I am useless without one. LOL
      Thanks for the comment.

  3. Andy, great advice here in your blog. I think the one I suffer from is the hook part of the video. I’ll start talking like I’m just having a chat with somebody forgetting that I need to hook them in at the beginning. Thank you for the reminder. And key points are important, you have to be authentic otherwise people don’t believe you, you have to be consistent otherwise people don’t see you and you have to be open about the fact that you’ve got links in your content. This is what allows people to know you like you and trust you. Even though it does take a long time. All the best, thanks,

    1. Hi Atif, some great points from you as well. I have been following you on tiktok. Your output is prolific, well done!

  4. Andy – These are absolutely great ideas and great advice. I appreciate how you laid it out for those of us that are still trying to grasp the concepts. I am still new to this gig, but I am hopeful I can get to a point where I can add value like your post.

  5. Andy,
Good structure on Affiliate marketing and Social Media. I like the layout of this post. Easy to read and even though it is a lot of information it is well written, easy to understand and absorb. I appreciate the structure of a good video as I am working on that now.

  6. Hi Andy,

I like your post title ‘Channel Your Inner Video’ as this is exactly what it feels like.

Finding our voice and knowing that will only come as we continue to post.

I am going through this process right now so your post is very timely, clear, and succinct as you lay out the steps for creating a good-quality video.

    Thank you.

  7. authenticity is so important, which may seem scary to so many people, but it really just means be who you are. As awkward as most of us feel video ourselves, it’s actually that awkwardness that people relate to and is why some people (not all, but that’s OK) will connect with us.

  8. A well-set-out summary of Affiliate Marketing, Andy. It covers a lot of headings and it will motivate a lot of different people to concentrate on a lot of different areas of what we all need to learn and get better at.

  9. Hi Andy,
Great post! So easy to follow and read through.
I agree it’s so important to be authentic in your content.
I think where I struggle most is with consistency though.
I should just create a weekly schedule in detail rather than be general about when completing which tasks during the week. If I take too long on some tasks then don’t get around to making a video.
    Onward and forward 🙂
    Denny
